Weißt du noch, was am ersten Tag im neuen Job alles passiert ist? Irgendwie verwischen die Bilder. Das Gehirn macht das absichtlich, um Stresssituationen zu vergessen. Fairerweise muss ich sagen, dass es bei mir eigentlich keine Stresssituation gab. Natürlich war ich aufgeregt, doch was muss man an seinem ersten Tag schon leisten? Nichts Besonderes. Hauptsächlich zuhören. Abgesehen von ein paar nervösen Lachern in den falschen Momenten und vielen neuen Namen, die ich zum Großteil direkt wieder vergessen habe, lief der erste Tag ziemlich rund.

April 2018, ein kalter, regnerischer Apriltag mit zum Teil heftigen Gewittern und Hagelschauern. Im Operations Control Center (OCC) der Airline herrscht Hochbetrieb. Ankommende Flüge können wegen des Wetters nicht landen und müssen zu anderen Flughäfen umgeleitet werden, abgehende Flüge können wegen des Wetters nicht starten. Die Kolleginnen und Kollegen im OCC geben ihr Bestes, um trotzdem die Verspätungen und Unannehmlichkeiten für die Fluggäste so gering wie möglich zu halten.
