Lido eRouteManual 4.5 – What’s New?

The release of Lido/eRouteManual marks the integration of the Mobile Updater into the Windows-based application and contains further improvements to enhance the user experience.

The release of Lido eRouteManual 4.5 brings new data management possibilities to our Windows-based charting solution. In addition to the integration of the Mobile Updater, we have also made improvements to the user interface, moving us towards becoming a native Windows application.

Data Center

The main focus of this release is the integration of the Mobile Update service into the Lido eRouteManual. The goals of this integration are to simplify users’ workflow and provide an overview of all installed data at a single glance, as well as a built-in mechanism to allow for the direct download of data from our secure servers.

To achieve these goals we have created a new section within the Lido eRouteManual called the “Data Center”. The Data Center window has replaced the former Data Status window where information regarding data validity was previously displayed. The new section structures the information in a more efficient way and is accessible from every screen in the application.

The Data Center allows pilots to easily confirm the status of their data and the data availability with just one tap. Furthermore, it gives the airline administrator control of the purchased Lido eRouteManual licenses and an overview of the data installed on each device. Finally, users are also able to set the current date of the application within the validity range of the revision installed on their device, allowing them to preview the charts available on the exact day of their flight.

Further Improvements

In addition to the integration of the Mobile Update service, this release of Lido eRouteManual features several improvements to the graphical user interface and workflow. Many of these improvements were implemented based on customer feedback.

Firstly, in the Airport and Route entry, we have increased the row height of the airports and made the keyboard more user-friendly. Next, users are now able to copy their flight plan from the clipboard or file and paste it into the route entry to ease pilots’ workflow and reduce the human error factor in the manual setup of a route. A final improvement to the workflow is the ability to interact with the underlying map when the cruising table or attribute lookup table is open.

We wish you successful operations with the Lido eRouteManual 4.5
